Southern Empress Dinner and Cocktail Cruises

Southern Empress Cruises offers guests unforgettable evenings filled with dining, drinks and dancing. By coming aboard, you’ll enjoy dinner on the main deck, the party on the Magnolia Deck where the DJ and cash bar keep the good times going.  Watch the sunset as the lake slides by on the Texas and Hurricane decks.

Setting sail on Lake Conroe from the dock at Southern Empress Lakeside Condominium on Saturday evenings, Southern Empress Cruises offers a chance for you to enjoy either a three-hour dinner cruise or a cocktail cruise. Currently, the Southern Empress offers both dinner cruises and cocktail cruises every other week, alternating between the two every Saturday.

The Houston Dinner Cruise sets sail at 6:30pm, on Saturdays including full meals, featuring good ole’ down home grub including, salad, chicken, potatoes, green beans, drinks and a dessert! This dinner cruise lasts from 7-10pm. A luncheon cruise is also offered once a month during the weekday for those who want to enjoy the lake during the day. The Cocktail Cruise happens on Saturdays, sailing from, 9:30pm to Midnight, with drinks available for purchase. You can check the Houston Dinner Cruise calendar for the season’s schedule.

On both the Houston Dinner Cruise and Cocktail Cruise, a DJ plays classic tunes of the 60’s to the more recent pop hits of today. Patrons often take to the dance floor after dinner or drinks, and also explore the upper outdoor deck to take in the lake air and forest views.

Built in 1983 in a Mississippi shipyard, the 131-foot paddle-wheeler was cut into sections, then transported by 27 semi-trucks to the captive waters of Lake Conroe at Seven Coves. The craft was reassembled along with finishing touches being added before it was launched as one of the lake’s most recognizable icons.
